Prakash, 40, a resident of T Dasarahalli, Peenya, was riding the scooter on outer ring road near Sumanahalli when the car knocked him down. Prakash fell off the vehicle and suffered major head injuries. The car driver abandoned the vehicle and fled.
Vijayanagar traffic police have booked a case. In another accident, a motorcyclist was killed on the spot and the pillion rider sustained grievous injuries when a water tanker hit their bike from behind on SM Road in Jalahalli.
Vighnesh, 26, a resident of Kammagondanahalli, he was on returning home when the accident occurred. His cousin Santosh Kumar who was riding pillion was injured. The driver of the water tanker fled the spot. Jalahalli traffic police have registered a case.
