Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s change of attire during his recent tour to China to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) left him uncomfortable through the six-day trip.

Siddaramaiah, who usually wears kurta and white dhoti, sported suit and trousers while attending meetings at WEF. “It was uncomfortable...For me this is best (kurta and dhoti)”, Siddaramaiah said in an interaction with the media in Bangalore.

The chief minister was full of praise for one Jafer, an Indian chef who took good care of him and the delegation, during their stay in Dalian. “He served us good Indian food. He had worked some time in Bangalore,” Siddaramaiah said. He had stayed in a five star hotel.

The chief minister was full of praise to the strides made by the Chinese in the agriculture sector and their impetus on diversification of crops.
