<p>A public interest litigation was filed in the High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday, challenging the grant of 36,000 sq ft of land to Ramakrishna Mutt in Mysore.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The Division Bench headed by D H Waghela, which heard the petition, observed that at the outset the petition seemed to have been filed with malafide intentions. <br /><br />Arguing on behalf of the Mutt, senior counsel S N Nagananda said that the petition has been filed to protect a coaching class, run on the land being granted. The court directed the petitioner to explain why the court should not levy a heavy fine on him.</p>
