Ministers did meet me: HDK

“It is true that some prominent ministers met me. However, the meeting had nothing to do with politics,” the former CM told reporters.

Speculation was rife in the political circles that two BJP ministers from Yeddyurappa camp held talks with Kumaraswamy on Thursday evening to seek the JD(S) support to form an alternative Government, if situation warranted.

In the wake of arm-twisting tactics by the Bellary Reddys, the Yeddyurappa camp is said to be exploring options to get rid of them permanently.

Yeddyurappa, while speaking to reporters in Belgaum later in the day, denied it saying there isn’t an iota of truth in Kumaraswamy’s statement.

Meanwhile, Transport Minister R Ashok has denied reports in a section of the media that he was one among the two ministers who met Kumaraswamy.
