JOIN USShe, along with members of various women’s organisations, on Sunday raised this demand during a protest in front of Nandini Layout police station. She also demanded action against ‘erring’ police officers who had “failed to stop Anand's wedding”. “I want to speak to him face-to-face and raise certain issues,” she said and insisted that Anand’s family members should also be arrested as they were “equally responsible” for the whole affair.
Later in the day, Anand was produced before the VII ACMM Judge at his residence. The Judge remanded him to 15 days judicial custody. He was, however, given the opportunity to represent himself.
ACP G T Ajjappa said that Anand’s family members were absconding as there was no one in their house. He assured that they would be arrested in a day or two.
