HC seeks info on illegal hotels

The court was hearing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Chandrashekar, who had sought evacuation of roadside food vendors and shops which had mushroomed around the complex. The petitioner submitted that the illegal shops and hotels were creating unhygeneic conditions around the complex and sought directions to evacuate them.

The division bench comprising Chief Justice P D Dinakaran and Justice V G Sabhahit directed the Government to furnish details and directed the petitioners to implead the Advocates Association.
