A BMTC bus driver was killed after he was crushed between two buses inside the Deepanjalinagar bus depot in Byatarayanapura traffic police early on Friday morning. The victim, Gurumurthy, 34, was a resident of Azadnagar, police said.
The accident occurred after Gurumurthy had filled his bus with fuel and parked it inside the depot. He took out the bus at 2.30 am and wanted to park it in a different place. “The front portion of his bus partially touched the rear part of another bus which had been parked,” police said.
Between two vehicles
Gurumurthy stopped the bus, but did not remove the key from the engine. He got down to see if there was any damage to the bus. As he was standing between the two vehicles, his bus accidentally moved forward, crushing him, police said.
