For up and coming actor Manish Paul, the fame that acting brings is something fresh and new. The actor, who’s excited about his first movie ‘Mickey Virus’ that will be released on October 25, talks about his new project and the film industry.

Manish is a fan of comic and thriller movies and with ‘Mickey Virus’, he has acted in both genres. “I feel blessed that I was able to explore both these genres together,” he says. Manish portrays the role of a crazy hacker in ‘Mickey Virus’.

Ask him whether he likes technology and he replies, “I was technologically challenged but I’ve become better. I still remember the day when I didn’t know how to check and send an e-mail. I would say that my stars don’t match with my computer’s because the moment I touched the machine, some virus would have affected the computer.” He adds that by the time he was acting in the movie, he was well-versed with technology and got a chance to learn about the world of hacking and new gadgets.

Manish, who hosted Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6, says that hosting for a programme and acting in a film, are different. He details, “While hosting a show, I can always add a lot of things, but in films, one has to stick to the dialogues. I’m just one-film-old, and I would like to stick to the script, as at the end of the day, a film is a director’s vision, which the actor should follow.”

Talking about the role in his new movie, Manish says that Micky is the laziest guy one can ever meet. A lot of actors like Madhuri Dixit, Farah Khan, Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor were roped into promote ‘Mickey Virus’. Manish says that it was a great feeling to see them all come together for this film. “I have interacted with them closely because of the show, and today when it’s my time, no one backed out; everyone came forward to help me,” says Manish.

Manish’s favourite actress in the industry is and will always be Madhuri Dixit. “Madhuri will always be my eternal love. Apart from her, I would love to work with Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone,” says the actor.

So after hosting a dance show, ask Manish how important he thinks dance is in Bollywood, and he replies, “I don’t think it has a major role in movies. In my movie, I don’t have a proper dance sequence and the dance I do in the movie is just what friends do when they hangout,” he says, adding, “I do love dancing though. If one knows how to dance, it’s an add-on.”

Manish says that now people have started saying things like, ‘You look like a hero now,’ ‘You look sexy’ and more, which is something new for him. Ask him about his favourite pastime and he says it is spending quality time with the family. “There have been times when I just put my phone on the silent mode for a while. My family knows that when I’m at work, I’m too focussed, and so in return when I’m with them, I dedicate my time to them,” he wraps up.
