Twenty people have died and two more went missing after heavy rain lashed Andhra Pradesh. The situation was no better in Odisha where fresh floods triggered by low pressure-induced rains devastated the cyclone-hit Ganjam and other coastal districts, leaving 10 people dead, five missing and lakhs marooned. Rescue operations are under way.

In AP, 67,419 people have been shifted to 135 relief camps, including 45,000 in Srikakulam.

The Vamsadhara, Bahuda and Nagaavaali rivers were in spate. In Odisha, over 5.32 lakh people in 2,276 villages have been affected by the floods, while about 1.47 lakh people have been evacuated to safety. Three helicopters were pressed into service in Ganjam.
