Man-eater tiger has cancer

“The tiger, Kishen, has been diagnosed with ‘haemangio sarcoma — a cancer of blood vessels,” director of Lucknow Zoo Renu Singh said.

Singh said the disease has forced the big cat into aberrant behaviour and it will undergo treatment after the zoo authorities seek advice from the Indian Veterinary Research Institute.

The predator was named Kishen as it was brought from Kishenpur sanctuary in March.
