CM's portrait missing!

Last Updated 19 November 2009, 18:04 IST

The same chamber is now occupied by Jagadish Shettar, who took oath as minister two days ago, minus Yeddyurappa’s portrait which is off from the wall. Other portraits including that of Mahatma Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, President Pratibha Patil and Dr B R Ambedkar continue to adorn the walls.

Shettar performed a pooja on Thursday before assuming office formally. Speaking on the occasion, Shettar said his first task would be to effectively execute flood relief activities. He would tour the areas from Friday and monitor the programmes. Replying to a question on he being offered a Cabinet berth after directing Shobha to resign, Shettar said reshuffle of the Cabinet was the chief minister’s prerogative and he would not comment on that.
