For a woman, a party without a gorgeous dress is never complete. Whether you’re going to a friend’s house or to the hottest club in town, wearing that perfect dress for the occasion is really important.

Personality is all about style and attitude. Everyone wants to look good and wants to wear the best of the dresses. Each woman has got a different body structure, height, shape and size, thus it is necessary for them to wear dresses according to their body structure.

According to Vandy Mehra, group director of Study By Janak, “It’s all about going gold this season when it comes to party dresses. The silhouettes should be comfortable yet sharp and the colour palette should be either in blue, blacks in classic tones or shimmer gold. Clinched waists and broad shoulders are really in this season when it comes to silhouettes. The fabrics that are popular are leathers, tweeds and fur accents on the
garment.”

Designer Anjalee Kapoor of Anjalee and Arjun Kapoor too gives few tips for party dresses this season. “One should not ‘reveal’ too much but don’t be a drab also. There is a very thin line between being sexy and being trashy. Also in an attempt to dress up, don’t overdo it. Too many things happening at the same time are a distraction. Like a belt clinched at the waist with a scarf around the neck can look crowded. Always don one statement piece.”

Talking about accessories, designer Pam Mehta, says, “Go bling with accessories. You can also wear a solid coloured jacket over a simple dress. Break the prints with a solid waist belt. You can wear floral print shoes, bags, necklaces or even brooches with your outfits. Or else hair accessories also look very sexy.”

Colour combination is also the most important thing to be kept in mind while choosing or wearing any dress. According to designer Mini Bindra, owner of PFDC, The Boulevard, “Choose solid colours like camel, red, deep blues, dark greens, khaki and the evergreen black and white. In fact when in doubt, go in for black and white. You just can’t go wrong with these – eternally elegant and chic. Also do not overdo the makeup. If you are really fond of it then go for the natural look with nudes. Loud colours like reds and hot pinks are just going to add to the glitz which is not the best thing. A nice pair of diamond-stud earrings and a statement ring will complete your look.”

So, girls just wear them right and you are all set for the perfect evening look.
