<p>A local court has ordered an inquiry into allegations of fraud against the son of Maddur legislator D C Thammanna. <br /><br /></p>.<p>Lakshman, a resident of Sanjaynagar, had filed a private complaint in the 8th Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court accusing Santosh of cheating him (Lakshman) of Rs nine crore in a land deal. <br /><br />According to the complaint, Santosh failed to register a piece of land in favour of Lakshman despite receiving Rs nine crore towards the sale price. He also failed to return the money.<br />An FIR has been filed against Santosh at Sanjaynagar police station, as directed by the court. <br /><br />Sandeep Patil, DCP (North) said the court has directed an investigation and asked that the officers submit a report to the court. <br /><br /></p>
