'Make use of ombudsman facility'

Speaking at a consumer awareness meeting held to create an awareness on the importance of ombudsman at Lead Bank hall as part of platinum jubilee celebration of Reserve Bank, he said “even a common consumer must get good service from the bank. To reach out to the common people and to create an awareness on ombudsman, the programme is being organised.”

Reserve Bank Deputy General Manager Kulakarni called upon the consumers to make use of the ombudsman facility.

J S Ravishankar spoke on the types of grievances that can be filed before the Ombudsman. Several consumers sought information on exchange of torn currency, loan problem and financial transaction.

Coffee grower Bose Mandanna brought to the notice of ombudsman the problems of coffee growers. Banks are providing good service in Kodagu, he added.

Corporation Bank Hassan division Deputy General Manager P V Narasimha Rao welcomed the gathering. Lead Bank Manager G Arunachal Sharma compered the programme.
