School at Sangameshwarapete in Chikmagalur taluk has won silver medal in state-level athletics and has been selected for the national-level. Mallenahalli School’s H R Vishwa has won 3rd place in javelin throw, S R Prathiksha of Akshara Public School won 3rd in 3 km walking and Vandana of MES School won third in 3000 metres race.
