JOIN USSpeaking at a press conference here Bachegowda said Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa has failed in ensuring proper supply of power to villages though he had taken oath in the name of farmers. The JD(S) will hold a protest rally demanding proper supply of electricity, on November 23 in Chikkaballapur district.
He alleged that Energy Minister Eshwarappa has been following anti-farmers’ policies, guarding the interests of capitalists. He said the government has not supplied the power properly causing inconvenience to the farmers who are completely dependent on groundwater to irrigate their land. The government didn’t keep its promise that the farmers would be provided with supply of three phase electricity. He said, the farmers are suffering due to crop loss and debt trap.
