HP Q4 net up 14% to $2.4 billion


Hewlett-Packard  (HP), reported a 14 per cent growth in its fourth quarter ending October 31, 2009 net earnings at US$2.4 billion, as against US$2.1 billion recorded in the year.

In the services segment, revenue increased 8 per cent to US$8.9 billion, while Infrastructure Technology Outsourcing reported revenue of US$4.1 billion. However, on year-on year basis the company’s revenues saw a dip. It fell 8 per cent over year-ago period to US$30.8 billion.

For the first fiscal quarter of 2010, HP estimates revenue of about US$29.6 billion to US$29.9 billion.
