Unique Identity Authority of India (UIDAI) chairperson Nandan Nilekani met Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at the latter's home office ‘Krishna’, and held talks for half-an-hour.
Officials in the Chief Minister's office said it was an unscheduled meeting of Nilekani with the chief minister.
The meeting assumes significance in the wake of speculation that Nilekani would contest the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Bangalore South constituency on the Congress ticket.
