JOIN USA high school student was electrocuted after he came in contact with a live wire at his friend’s house in Attibele on Sunday night.
Vinay Kumar, 15, a student of APS School, had been to Muniraju’s house for studies. He accidentally touched a live wire which was drawn close to the roof of the house, and was killed instantaneously, police said. Kumar was a resident of Shakhambari Layout.
A large number of local residents who gathered at the spot blamed Bescom for the tragedy. The police rushed to the spot and pacified them.
Recently, two siblings aged five and 10 years were electrocuted in Attibele, and Besom had paid an ex gratia of Rs five lakh to their family.
Homemaker dies
A homemaker died under mysterious circumstances at Rajendranagar in Adugodi on Sunday night. Parents of the deceased have accused the husband of harassing and poisoning their daughter.
The deceased has been identified as Sunitha, 25, a resident of Rajendranagar. She was married to Vijaykumar, a car driver, eight years ago. The couple have two children.
According to police, the two children did not consume food on Sunday night saying it was too hot.
Vijaykumar abused Sunitha over the issue and went out. He returned home later to find his wife lying semi-conscious in the room. He rushed Sunitha to a nearby hospital where she passed away.
Woman hangs self
A married woman allegedly hanged herself over a trivial issue in Electronics City.
Priya, aged about 32 years, was married to Nagana Gowda and she had delivered a child three months ago. She wanted to go to her parents’ house but her husband did not allow her citing cold weather. According to police, Gowda told Priya that she could go to her parents’ house after a month.
However, she had a heated argument with Gowda, went into her room and locked herself.
When she did not come out for a long time, Gowda grew suspicious and broke open the door only to find Priya hanging. She was shifted to St John’s Hospital where she died, police said.
