Press Club award for C N R Rao

Scientist and Bharat Ratna awardee, Prof C N R Rao was conferred with the ‘Press Club Man of the Year 2013 Award' by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, on Tuesday at the Press Club of Bangalore ( PCB).

Rao, 79, is presently serving as the Head of the Scientific Advisory Council to the Prime Minister. He has received several honorary doctorates and has also authored research papers and scientific books. Others  awarded at the event include journalists S V Jayasheela Rao, M A Ponnappa, R Poornima, Somasundara Reddy and cartoonist B B Gujjarappa, all of whom  received the Press Club annual award.
