S R Hiremath, president of the Samaja Parivartana Samudaya, has leveled fresh charges against Power Minister D K Shivakumar, saying that he had allegedly conspired to grab property worth Rs 500 crore belonging to Arya Vidya School at Gandhinagar in Bangalore and demanded a probe into the issue.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Monday, Hiremath charged that the Arya Vidya School did not have any managing committee between 2004 and 2010.
All of a sudden, Shivakumar became the president of the school and his brother D K Suresh Kumar became its treasurer in 2010.
The co-operation department wrote a letter to the State government on June 6, 2012, asking it to appoint an administrator to the school. “But, Shivakumar has got a stay from a court against this,” he said.
“All this is being done by Shivakumar just to grab the property worth Rs 500 crore. The State government should immediately order a probe into the issue and get this land freed from Shivakumar,” he said.
