Dacoits loot house

A gang of 12  armed robbers struck at a house in Naganayakanahalli of Anekal taluk in the early hours of Tuesday and decamped with valuables after attacking the residents. The robbers fled in a car after an alert neighbour fired three rounds in the air from his gun.

Police said that the robbers took away gold ornaments and Rs 30,000 in cash from the house belonging to Subramani. 

“Around 2 am, 12 people came in a car and broke open the door to enter the house. Subramani, his wife Narayanamma and son Shantakumar were asleep then. They were woken up by the commotion. When they tried to stop them, the dacoits attacked the residents with knives,” police said. Anekal police have registered a case.
