An online contest of cryptic clues ‘ACAD 2014’ (A Clue a day) for schoolchildren across the country, was launched in the City on Tuesday.

The enrolment for the contest, that will go on throughout the year, is free. Students can log on to the website www.crypticsingh.com where a clue will be posted each day along with the solution.

The clues will be posted at 3 pm each day and entries for the same will be accepted till 3 pm following day with results being posted in the champions gallery of the website.

Evaluation

Participants would be evaluated on a scale of 100 where points would be given in the descending order to ensure that the one solving the clue first would top the list.

“Finals of the same would be an offline test, the venue of which is yet to be decided,” said Kushagra Singh, Director, EXTRA C, which is organising the contest.

Speaking to Deccan Herald, he said the venue of the finals would be decided based on the toppers selected at the end of the year.

Of the correct entries, one will be chosen as the Lucky Winner of the day and will win a gift hamper which will be sent to their schools.

As many as 240 participants have already enrolled themselves for the contest.
