Puneeth Rajkumar describes his experience of working in Ninnindale, his latest release, as ‘fabulous’. It’s not just the character, skydiving was one of the many things that Puneeth did during the making of the film.

This, he says, helped him overcome his fear of heights. “Despite the best safety gears in place, you still feel very unsure and a bit of fear still lurks in you somewhere.

Nevertheless, the movie has the usual doses of love and action and is made in a different way,” Puneeth tells Metrolife.
He observes that the movie has also instilled in him a desire to pursue skydiving on a serious note.

“I am inspired to work towards becoming a certified skydiver. It is only when I jumped off 3,000-ft above ground level, oblivious of everything around me that I realised skydiving gives you a different kind of feel like none other,” he states.

The story of the film revolves around the circumstances that bring two people together and before they know, they’re in love.

What’s interesting is the situation that leads them to fall in love. What’s also enticing is the choice of locations.

“The movie begins and ends in the US. We’ve shot in New York and some of the locations are out of the world,” he points out.
Puneeth is popular for his dance and stunt sequences. This movie hasn’t forgotten to exploit that in him.

He also had to train under a stunt master from Bangkok. “There were a lot of moves that were quite different and unlike what I’ve learnt before. When it comes to dance, I feel my brother (Shivarajkumar) is a better dancer,” he opines.

Puneeth hasn’t had any releases after Yaare Koogadali last year but this hasn’t really bothered him.

“I had a long shooting schedule abroad and I would rather wait for the right script than work on too many projects. I would like to do something that is creative,” he adds. About his co-star, Erica Fernandes, Puneeth feels, “I am glad she has already signed another movie in Kannada. She’s a hard worker and a good dancer as well.” Puneeth is currently working in the Kannada remake of Dookudu followed by Pavan Wadeyar’s Ranavikrama.
