She was addressing a Grama Sabhe in the limits of Nagalapura Gram Panchayat on Friday.
‘Mother card’ scheme has been implemented to take care of the health of women during child birth and later. As per this, Rs 1,000 each is given to a woman before and after delivery, she informed.

A kit of Rs 1,500 will be given to the mother following delivery under Madilu scheme, she said. Lissy also gave information on Janani Suraksha and Arogya Kavacha schemes.
Woman and Child Welfare officer Krishnappa said one ‘Akshayapatre’ scheme is being implemented at anganwadi centres. According to this, a basket will be kept at anganwadis, where the villagers and the children can put vegetable from their home.
The villagers complained that the food being served to children at anganwadis is not of good quality. They said the anganwadi workers should be given proper training in preparing food.

The villagers also questioned the officials from the Education department on not conducting children’s grama sabhe so far.
Nagalapura Gram Panchayat President Raghavendra presided. Vice President Jose, and others were present on the occasion.
