Presidency outclass JIRS to storm into semifinals

Presidency scored a facile 139-run win over Jain International Residential School in their quarterfinal match at the IISC Gymkhana on Friday. Batting first, Presidency put up 238 for five in 50 overs. Nischal played the anchor with 105 runs (155b, 11x4) while Mukund (30), Anurag (30) and Sahil (29) chipped in with useful runs. Nischit (3/50), Vikas (2/20) and Ronak B (2/39) were the wicket-takers for JIRS.  Vijay Kumar (3/16), Sahil (3/20) and Naresh (2/6) dismissed JIRS to a paltry 89 in 29 overs.

At St Joseph’s New Fields: Delhi Public School, South: 190 all out in 48.4 overs (Sharath Srinivas 30, Pradeep 28, Kashyap P 29; Lenin J 2-27, Nihal Thomas 2-43) lt to St Joseph’s Indian High School: 192/7 in 39.1 overs (Farhan A Maggi 30, Shirish Shetty 42, Lenin K 27; Maanik Aroda 2-42, Sadyojath NS 2-43).

At ITI Grounds: Bishop Cotton Boys’ School: 126 all out in 42 overs (Rishab GM 33, Gyles Dias Mario 28; Umang Chordia 3-23, P Tejas 3-12, Kunal S 2-13) lt to St Joseph’s boys’ High School: 127/5 in 36.1 overs (P Tejas 43, Kunal S 32 n.o.).
