N Manjunatha Prasad, IAS, Managing Director, KSRTC, has been elected Vice President of Association of State Road Transport Undertakings (ASRTU).
ASRTU has 62 members inclusive of seven associate members, who constitute the backbone of mobility for the urban and rural population, across the country.
ASRTU came into existence in 1965 and it is headed by Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India as the ex-officio President.
General body
The Vice President of the ASRTU is elected by the General Body from among the Chief Executives of the state road transport undertakings.
