Former Prime Minister Deve Gowda had a tough time in controlling the restive mass that had gathered at the party’s Yuva Chethana Samavesha on Wednesday.

Though the conference was slated to commence at 11 am, it could do so only around 4.45 pm when Deve Gowda’s son and former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy made his grand appearance.

The father had no choice but to keep the crowd in humour beseeching them to bear with them as also apologising to the battery of media that had pitched tent for political bytes. Trust the fuming father to let his son’s lack of time consciousness go by easily.

A cut-up Gowda, who was piqued with his son’s inexcusable late coming, reprimanded him by saying, “You should respect time.” However, much as he was het up with his son, the concerned dad had a sane piece of political advice for his son to fare well at the polls.

“Don’t wear dothi. I have paid a heavy price for it. People will consider you backward in national politics,” he said.
