Haryana CM slapped in public

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, who enjoys Z-category security, was slapped on Sunday by a youth in full public view in Panipat, while he was standing on the front seat in an open Maruti Gypsy that was on its way out after an inauguration.

The youth broke the security cordon and slapped Hooda in a flash. The accused, who has been identified as Kamal Mukhija, was immediately whisked away. Hooda was visibly agitated after the incident.

The development comes as an embarrassment and concern for the chief minister's security. Hooda was in the district for a series of inaugurations, followed by a road-show of sorts.
The incident happened despite heavily armed security personnel all around him.

Sources said the youth was suffering from depression and was disgruntled. A case has been registered against him under various sections of the IPC.
