'I am always willing to learn'

No actor is free from controversies. But actress Trisha though has always taken controversies head on.

She has been through her share of ups and downs but the young lass owes her ability to handle tough times to her strong mental makeup. She admits that she draws immense strength from her mother who has always stood by her. “I move on and never get stuck in silly things. It doesn’t pay to get caught in trivial issues,” Trisha tells Metrolife on her recent visit to the City.

Trisha will now be coming to the City more often for she has signed a Kannada film, opposite Puneeth Rajkumar, tentatively called Rajakumara. The film is a remake of Tollywood blockbuster Dookudu. So why a remake for a debut in Kannada? “What’s wrong in acting in remakes? When a script is good,  why shouldn’t one remake the movie? Besides, Puneeth is a superstar and it’s good to debut with a superstar, even if it is a remake,” notes Trisha.

There have been several offers from the Kannada film industry but Trisha notes she couldn’t give any of the scripts a nod because of date issues, “I am glad I finally got to work in the Kannada film industry. I’ve worked with the crew before and don’t feel like I am in a strange place with strange people,” she adds.

Trisha shares a good rapport with all her co-stars. She acted with good friend Vishal in Samar which did well, “I see a different Vishal when he’s on the cricket field during the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) matches. The serious side of him comes out,” she says. She will soon be seen with Jayam Ravi in Boologam and Jiiva in Endrendrum Punnagai.

She never gets tired of work and doesn’t know what it is like to get bored. “I look at every new project as my very first film and this helps me keep an open mind. I am always willing to learn,” she observes. Trisha concentrates on staying fit. “I think I am blessed with a lean structure, yet I focus on eating healthy. But I do give into my cravings once in a way,” she wraps up.
