Rohit spurs Malleswaram

Rohit Gowda slammed an unbeaten century to power Malleswaram Gymkhana to a crushing nine-wicket win over Sir Syed Cricketers in the YS Ramaswamy memorial cricket tournament here.

Sir Syed Cricketers, batting first, rode on Abdul Numan’s unbeaten 73 to post a decent 248/9 from their allotted 50 overs.

HR Chelvaraj shone with the ball for Malleswaram Gymkhana, picking up four for 28, while Mitrakant made a decent contribution too, grabbing 3/65.

Malleswaram Gymkhana then made light of the target, romping home in 36.2 overs, thanks largely to Rohit’s 116 not out. Gaurav Goel hit an unbeaten 66 as well while Liyan Khan scored 58.
