MySugar staff to get wages as per 5th Pay Commission

There is good news for the employees of MySugar factory, as they would be paid wages as per the recommendation of Fifth Pay Commission.

District-in-Charge Minister Ambareesh on Friday announced the same at a programme held to distribute Rs 100 arrears per tonne of cane to the growers, at MySugar factory, in Mandya. Ambareesh said that the Finance department had given its approval to the same and there would be a hike in the wages of the employees soon. With Rs 100 arrears per tonne of sugarcane the problem of the cane growers has been sorted out. “I have kept my promise and you should save the factory,” he told the workers.

He also lauded Managing Director Aiyyappa for striving towards reviving MySugar and said that many had approached him and requested him not to transfer Aiyappa for another three years. Managing Director Aiyappa said that till now 2.25 lakh tonne cane had been crushed, with Rs 2,400 per tonne being disbursed. Now arrears of Rs 100 was being distributed by the company. The arrears promised by the government would be distributed by the Deputy Commissioner  to the farmers by Monday, the Minister said.

Deputy Commissioner B N Krishnaiah, CEO P C Jayanna, Assistant Commissioner Shantha Halmuni, CMC president Siddraju, Congress District Treasurer Amaravathy Chandrashekar and others were present.

Ambareesh denied to react to the manual scavenging incident. He said that he had only seen the clippings on television.
