Friend held for murder

Krishna, (34), of Bangarpet, has been arrested for murdering his friend, Kumar (45). Kumar was found stabbed to death at his house in Nanjamaba Agrahara. Police said

 Krishna had lent Kumar Rs 5,000 two years ago. The duo had a running feud as Kumar failed to repay. Krishna allegedly barged into Kumar’s house on Monday and stabbed him in the abdomen and fled. 

Gang of seven arrested

Acting on a tip-off that a gang of alleged rowdies was planning a dacoity, the CCB’s Organised Crime Wing conducted a raid in Girinagar, arresting seven suspects. The arrested have been identified as Balaji alias Gabba, 26, the alleged ring leader,  Madan Kumar alias Huchcha, 23, Madhu alias Chicken, 26, Gururaj alias Kenda, 19, Abbas Ali, 21, Chandrashekar alias Surya, 29 and Vinay alias Koole, 23. 

Lethal weapons were also recovered. Balaji, an alleged rowdy sheeter, is said to be involved in dacoity, assault and other cases at Girinagar and C K Achukattu police stations. Lorry purloined

A man, who sought a lift in a lorry, drove it away when the driver got down to relieve himself on Tuesday. 

Suresh, the lorry driver, had gone to Doddabele to unload sand and was returning when an unidentified man sought a lift to the City Market. Suresh parked the lorry by the road to relieve himself when the suspect drove it off. Suresh has lodged a complaint with the Kengeri police station.
