All set for Christmas wedding

The Spanish actress, who was recently at the centre of a pregnancy rumour, wants a Christmas wedding and has already started looking for a wedding dress, reported an entertainment magazine online.

“Penelope’s parents are conservative Catholics and are really pushing for her to get married. Javier would like to take things slowly, but Penelope wants to make her parents happy,” said a source. Adding fuel to the wedding talk, an insider claims Penelope has been quietly meeting with her favourite fashion designers to work on her upcoming wedding dress.

“They will marry very soon, maybe even over the holidays. Since she and Javier are from Spain, she would love to have a Spanish designer create her dream gown,” said the source. It is believed the dress could be created by the the Spanish brand House of Balenciaga, which had earlier designed actress Salma Hayek’s gown when she tied the knot with billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault.

Cruz had attended the nuptials with Bardem and had fallen in love with the dress. “Salma’s dress was specifically designed for her by the company’s creative director, Nicolas Ghesquiere. I’m sure they would be more than thrilled to create a gown for Penelope, it will be the most important dress of her life,” added the source.
