Two pedestrians killed in accidents

Two pedestrians were killed in separate road accidents in the City since Sunday night.

P V Venkatarama Reddy, 38,  was killed on the spot after a BMTC bus knocked him down on Devarabeesanahalli bridge outer ring road in the Airport traffic police station limits on Sunday night. The accident occurred at 9.30 pm when Reddy, a security guard at a private software firm, was returning home from work. He sustained grievous injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

In another incident, Gopalaiah, 45, a labourer from Hongasandra, was killed after a hit-and-run vehicle hit him on Singasandra Road, off Hosur Road. He was on his way to Electronics City when the accident occurred. The driver fled the spot, police said.
