The CMR National PU College recently held its graduation ceremony. Students, their parents and grandparents were present to witness an important milestone in a student’s life.

The two-hour long ceremony saw 550 students graduate in style. The atmosphere was one of happiness, sadness and anticipation.

There were not less than 1,700 parents and students in the venue.

The evening began with the principal reading the annual report.

Sharing her thoughts on graduation, Nandini said, “We are witness to so many students graduating every year and it is special for us to watch the confidence with which students walk out of this institution. There is a projector which flashes the picture of students with their achievements and future plans. This moment is indeed special for many.”
Addressing the students, Jija Harisingh, retd DGP, urged the students not to get bogged down by failure and surge forward with added confidence.  Sabitha Ramamurthy, principal of CMR National Public School, called upon the students to chase their dreams and go any length to achieve their goals.
Another highlight of the event was the launch of the college magazine called ‘The Herald.’ Two students, one from science and the other from commerce, were honoured on the occasion with the ‘Best Student of the Year’.

The graduating batch say that it’s a proud moment for them. They say in one voice that they have been prepared to handle the challenges ahead.
Sai Ramya, a student of science says, “I am taking with me with some of the best lifeskills that I picked up during my stint in college. I have learnt to be organised and methodical, both in studies and in my personal life. I have also learnt effective time-management.”

Shiva Shankar, another science student said, “This college has helped me become an extrovert and prepared me to face the challenges ahead and follow my dream.”
Abhiniti K, a student of commerce, added, “The college offers the wholesome development of students, thanks to the extracurricular activities like arts, music and dance. The memories of college life will never fade.”
