The IFIM Business School held its 19th Founder’s Day celebrations recently at its Electronic City campus. The event celebrated the vision and dedication of the IFIM founder and chairman VB Padode while throwing light on the new initiatives taken up by the college.

Over the past year, the institute has achieved substantial feats in its endeavour to provide its students a more holistic education programme. It has actively worked on creating awareness on female feticide by organising the ‘Kanyathon’ and providing a global outlook by enabling inter-institutional interaction. The IFIM also facilitated a global seminar with active participation by students and faculty of various colleges across the globe at the recently-held ‘Convergence 2014.’

The ceremony was attended by Baskaran, director of IFIM; Sudip Banerjee, CEO, L & T Infotech; Punit Jetli, president of ‘Happiest Mind’ and Madhumita Halder, founder of ‘MadRat Games’. The students and faculty were also present.

The IFIM founder VB Padode addressed the gathering and said, “Our aim is to build an institute where students would learn and grow in a safe environment. Education is the foundation stone to a healthy and prosperous career path and it is important that we provide the students a holistic learning experience. We aspire to give the students real-time industry exposure through internship programmes and business labs. It is our constant endeavour to help nurture these young minds to reach great heights in their career.”

Speaking on the occasion, Punit Jetli said, “Today, there is an innumerable competition in the job market and our education system has to ensure that graduates, who become new employees, are better equipped to withstand the constantly changing and highly competitive world of work. Institutions like the IFIM expose students to the theoretical and practical knowledge of work culture and global industry trends.”

The highlight of the day was a cultural show presented by the students, which comprised of skits and songs. Nikhil, the student body president, said, “Founder’s Day is one of the most important days of our college as the founder visits us during this occasion and we also celebrate his birthday. As the student body, we did our best to make his visit memorable. The ambience was vibrant throughout the day and the cultural programme was very enjoyable. I even spotted some famous alumni members who came and had a good time.”‘
