Probe sought into Ramdas case

Minister of State for Kannada and Culture Umashree on Wednesday urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to order a high-level probe into the complaints and counter-complaints of cheating, filed by former minister S A Ramdas and his alleged lover Premakumari.

Ramdas, in his complaint with the police, had stated that Premakumari had made false allegations against him with an intention to blackmail him and extort money.
Premakumari, in her complaint, has accused Ramdas and his brother of cheating and attempting to murder her. In a letter to Siddaramaiah, Umashree stated that in the light of the complaints, a high-level probe sho­uld be ordered into the matter.
