Former Union minister and Lok Jan Shakti Party leader Ramvilas Paswan on Tuesday kept Lalu Prasad and the Congress guessing over his next move, including a possible alliance with the BJP.

He has slated the meeting of Parliamentary Board scheduled on Tuesday for two days and remained out of the media’s view. However, BJP leaders from Bihar including Sushil Kumar Modi, Shanwaj Hussain and Rajiv Pratap Rudy are said to have had several rounds of meeting with LJP leaders. Some sources claimed that they were on the verge of finalising an alliance.

They are said to be talking on seat sharing. There were also reports of severe opposition to it in the BJP.

However, both the Congress and Lalu Yadav tried to put on a brave face. “I will continue to speak to Paswan and discuss with him about formation of an allianceneral elections,” Yadav said.
