<p>A delegation led by Samaj Parivartana Samudaya founder S R Hiremath on Tuesday submitted to the governor a 191-page document “substantiating” the involvement of Energy minister D K Shivakumar in illegal mining.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Addressing a press meet here on Wednesday, Hiremath said Governor H R Bhardwaj had also been requested to sack Shivakumar from the Cabinet since he faced grave charges. The delegation comprised freedom fighter H S Doreswamy, N Shivakumar and K N Somashekhar of Jan Sangram Parishat.<br /><br />Hiremath claimed that there were enough documents to prove the minister’s involvement in irregularities.<br /><br />“Shivakumar and his brother Suresh, wife Usha looted 10.8 lakh metric tonnes of iron ore when he was minister in the then S M Krishna government. In a housing society scandal, Shivakumar made Rs three lakh crore by illegally selling sites meant for the State government employees,” he said.<br /><br />Stating that another minister Roshan Baig was also involved in illegal activities, Hiremath urged the chief minister to drop the tainted ministers from the Cabinet. <br /></p>
