Inspecting Officer visits Sainik School

 Gp Capt Surinder Singh, Inspecting Officer, Sainik School Society, New Delhi visited Sainik School Kodagu on Thursday.

He was also accompanied by his wife Simmi Singh. The Inspecting Officer Commissioned in the Indian Air Force in 1983, has held various portfolios before assuming charge as Inspecting Officer. 

On arrival, he was escorted by the school cavalcade commanded by Cadet Shrishail and an elegant guard of honour was accorded to him by a platoon of twenty one cadets led by parade commander Cadet Chetan. 

In his address, he urged the cadets to adhere to the tenets of self discipline, respect the parents, teachers and the nation. 

He planted a sapling in keeping with the  ‘Go Green’, initiative of  the school towards a greener and eco friendly campus.  

Gp Capt Singh along with Simmi Singh, interacted with the class  XII students who co-incidentally are the school’s first batch.  

Simmi Singh distributed sweets to the class XII students and laid foundation stone for the Type III staff quarters. Vision document for 2020 was released on the occasion. Principal Capt (IN) MT Ramesh was present.
