“I am personally not interested in contesting the Lok Sabha polls. If the Party High Command decides to field me, then I will have to abide by their decision,” said MLA C T Ravi.

Speaking after inspecting development works on Ambedakar Beedi in Chikmagalur on Tuesday, he said “I will campaign for the official candidate of the party. The BJP State Election Committee meeting will be held on March 5, which will be attended by national leader Arun Jaitely. The Central Parliamentary Committee of the BJP will meet on March 8, to finalise the names of the candidates. I am happy as a MLA.

If the BJP decides to field me in the Lok Sabha polls, then I will have no choice but to contest,” he said.  The MLA said that Rs 10 crore each has been released for developing market road and M G Road. The work on market road has already commenced and will be completed in nine months.

The work on M G Road will be taken up after the completion of the Market Road. “The works initiated under KMRP scheme is in progress. The work under CMSTDP is moving in snail’s pace. The work will be accelerated. The CMC Commissioner has issued notices to the concerned contractor for stopping the work,” the MLA said.
