“If you are a hero then you have to always be good and do good. But playing a villain’s role gives you ample space to show your talent. You can be loved and hated at the same time,” exclaims Villain Raj.

In today’s cinemas, the villains are getting more importance, for example, the rogue in Ghajini had the entire movie named after him.

Ask him if he minds the word ‘Villain’ attached to his name and he responds, “I have got recognition because of my wicked roles. Why would I mind the word being taken with my name? Even now, people ask me about the part I essayed in Akash. The role was very integral to the movie and I’m very happy that I’m remembered for it.” He has also done nefarious roles in other flicks like Hatrick Hodimaga and Love Guru.

Speaking about his other projects, he says, “I have just wrapped up a Telugu movie called Maazi with Arjun Sarja and a Kannada movie called Devdas with Yogi in the lead.”

Raj also says that he would love to do a hero’s role in a movie.

“Why not! If I get a good offer as a hero of the movie then I will definitely take it up, but no such offer has come my way as yet. So until I get one, I’ll continue being the bad boy,” he says.
