More than six lakh students across the State will appear for the second-year pre university examinations scheduled to begin on Wednesday.
All exams will be held between 9 am and 12.15 pm except for French language exam which will be between 2 pm and 5.15 pm.
Carnatic and Hindustani music exams will be held in the afternoon. The examinations will conclude on March 27.
There has been a marginal rise in the number of students appearing for the examinations this year. While 6.13 lakh students took the examination last year, the number is 6.6 lakh this year, according to the officials of the Department of Pre University Education.
With about 2.5 lakh students, Commerce stream has the highest number of candidates followed by 2.4 lakh in Arts and 1.73 lakh for science.
