The launch of ‘Fashion Vodka’, affiliated with Fashion TV, which was recently held at Vivanta by Taj, was a colourful evening with many of the City’s socialites attending it. The City witnessed music tracks being rolled out by globally renowned DJ Helen Swan and a live performance by MC Ania J — the voice of Fashion TV.

The crowd danced the night away and the guests enjoyed their cocktails. The event started with an LED dance for which the dancer wore a costume designed with lights. This was followed by a performance by DJ Helen.

The event also included a fashion show where models walked the ramp, showcasing the latest work of designer Michelle Salins. The show featured sensuous and exquisite cocktail and evening dresses, inspired by ‘style and confidence’.

“I tried to include corsets and they were the talk of the town as they were proper hand-moulded ones with wiring. Other offerings, that featured during the show, were mostly of Parisian nature and high-styled garments,” said Michelle. She added that she tried to create designs that were perfect for destination stops and tried to include a burlesque touch to the outfits.

Adding to the glamour quotient was a live performance by MC Ania J, who amused the crowd with her chart-busting song ‘What’s app Man’ and her latest song for Fashion TV ‘Trillionaire’ apart from other numbers. DJ Helen Swan, who tried to match the crowd’s needs by belting out different tracks, said that she was excited to be in the City and hoped that the audience felt the same about her performance.

The guests were more than happy to celebrate the launch of the beverage. “The event was a great portrayal of glitz and glamour and introducing the drink to the City was done in grand style. It was an exciting night by the poolside, which added a classic touch to the event,” said Aslam Gafoor, a guest.

Other guests said that having a fashion show wasn’t very unique for a product launch but the event was impressive nonetheless. Rahul Dev Shetty, a guest, was particularly impressed with the production work, behind the event. “The stage was done up very well and all the work put into it was unique,” he said.
