Minister lands in a soup

Revenue and District in-charge Minister V Sreenivas Prasad has landed in a soup, after he reportedly made a promise on behalf of the State government. He has now come under the scanner of the Election Commission.

Prasad had promised some benefit for a particular community, at a party workers’ meeting on March 18. The meeting had eventually turned into a meeting of Scheduled Castes and other communities.

A case has been filed against the general secretary of the city unit of the Congress at the Devaraja police station, of violation of the election code of conduct.
