Lover kills 1, injures another

The plot of the story seems to be taken straight from Bollywood involving a girl and two lovers. The only difference was that the rejected lover instead of making a sacrifice attacked his rival wounding him seriously and killed the rival’s cousin.

The tragic incident occurred in Agra on Wednesday evening.

Reports said two youths Ashu and Farman were in love with Sanjana (name changed), a resident of Sushil Nagar in the town. Both claimed that Sanjana loved them and they often had heated arguments over the same.

The two finally decided to settle the matter once and for all. They decided to ask Sanjana about it.

They reached her house on Wednesday evening and told about their feelings and asked whom she loved.

After initial reluctance Sanjana said she loved Ashu. While Ashu was elated at the disclosure, the revelation angered Farman.

He took out a knife and attacked Ashu. He was stabbed several times and sustained serious injuries.

Ashu’s cousin Rahul, who had also accompanied him, tried to intervene in the fight in a bid to save Ashu. Farman got infuriated at this and attacked Rahul.

Both Rahul and Ashu were rushed to a nearby hospital where Rahul succumbed to his injuries. Ashu was battling for life in the hospital, reports said.
Police officers said Farman has been arrested and search was on to nab his other accomplice.
