Local committee chiefs elected

Speaking after completion of election of office-bearers to local committees here on Thursday, Shivareddy said that workers should strive for building the party organisation in the rural areas.

Election Officer Nagaprakash disclosed that presidents and secretaries have been elected unopposed to 52 local committees spanning 23 wards of the town. With this, impetus has been provided for strengthening the party, he said.

District BJP general secretary Jayarama Reddy said that internal democracy is being reigned in the party organisation and all communities of the society are being given equal representation in the local committees.

Raghavendra Reddy, M Vemanna, Town Municipal Council member Chandrashekhar and others were present on the occasion.

DH News Service Taluk BJP president B V Shivareddy called upon party workers to strengthen the organisation from the grassroots level under the guidance office-bearers of the local committee.
