Star batsman Yuvraj Singh skipped India's practice session on Wednesday at Fatullah as a precautionary measure.
"Yuvraj singh had a blow on his left ankle. For precautionary reasons, he is taking rest today," team's media manager Dr R N Baba said in a media release. The left-hander had hurt his left ankle during Tuesday's session exclusively dedicated to football.
The entire squad, as suggested by team's fitness trainer, played football bare-footed during which the Punjab batsman was seen clutching his leg in pain. Later he limped off to team's bus with his ankle suitably strapped. It may be recalled that Yuvraj had sustained a serious knee injury during the 2006 Champions Trophy while playing kho-kho at Mohali.
