KOMUL posts Rs 10 cr profit for 2008-09

He was speaking after distributing  Rs four lakh relief money from the Milk Producers Welfare Fund  to the 40 families of the milk producers who had died, at the Milk Producers camp office in Mulbagal town, on Thursday and said currently every day 6.7  lakh litres of milk is being collected.

Though the milk federation is incurring losses, in the interest of the milk producers the procuring rate of milk has not been decreased.

More than Rs two crore has been given to the families of milk producers who have died till now, he said.

Keeping in view the heart problems of the milk producers, Komul has appointed two farmer experts in every taluk. The doctors will treat the farmers freely for diabetes, eyes, kidney and other problems.

Milk Producers Federation Deputy Manager Dr K V Rajesh explained the facilities available through the Milk Producers Welfare Fund.
Milk Producers Employees’ Association President M Gopal, camp officer Chandrappa, Nagaraj, Venugopal and Narasimha Reddy participated. Bandarahalli Gayathri welcomed, Sridharmurthy welcomed and M V Shanker Reddy proposed a vote of thanks.
